The Godzilla franchise has more than 50 years of existence and 29 movies, I think it’s safe to say that these amount of movies are not the result of an extensive creative endeavor or some sort of statement from part of Toho Studios (the company responsible of this franchise), Godzilla movies are a product for entertainment, but that doesn’t hold any merit, first of all some of them are really fun, some even carry a strong message, but my ultimate point is that even as entertainment product, they carry the sensibilities of Japanese culture through half a century. Something really interesting to me is the exploration of culture in consumer products and media, like music, anime, and also movies. I played it by myself and it urged me to comment it with anybody! :) Oh, and also, I came to know very recently that a kind of OVA came out based on the game, its called “Dimensional Adventure Numa Monjar” ( Jikū Bōken Nūmamonjā) and its incredible! :) Well, to sum up, I had so much fun playing chrono trigger I would really love If someone can share too his/her experiencie with it. There are ridiculously crazy finals, sad finals, dark finals, there is even a final in which - I think, because i didn’t get it- you can find the game creators! Is genious! Everybody talked so much about the Stanley parable and yes, its cool, but don’t talk to me about crazy-extraordinary finals if you don’t live the moment in which <3 (….no, I won’t do spoilers). From all of the great stuff this game has to offer, the greatest of all has to do with the finals, they are SO MANY POSSIBLE FINAAALS! I said to myself “I will achieve EVERY FINAL IN THIS GAME”, but if you ever say that to yourselve, you will be lying. Chrono trigger is full of epic moments, and I appreciate that a lot, moments that you will never forget and one day you are just laying in your bed thinking how bored you are and how senseless is life but suddently you remember one of this moments and life is great after all. Also, the battle mechanics are very confortable for someone like me who is used to real-time battles, I got used quickly. The characters are unique, I loved so much the design was so Toriyama <3 the music is beautiful, que time travel is done great! You will fight from dinosaurs to robots, from imps to shadows and blood yolks, and all of it makes sense in the story. In these days, I’ve played and tried a lot of games that amaze me in their graphics, their mechanics, their innovatios, but its very difficult for me to find what I love the most: GREAT STORIES, and chrono has one of the best, in my opinion. I dont have anything new to say, everything has been told about it and im sure most of you (who like games) have alredy played it, but I think the acclaim will be never enough. Nothing convinced me entirely until I saw a video made by my dear MatPat in which he explained how Chrono Trigger could be retteling the bible (being Chrono one kind of god), and I thought that was one of the coolest arguments I could get to play a game, so I did. Before I played the game, I read a lot of things about it that it was one of the greatest games ever, that it was the first game that introduced the time travel-thing so well, that the story was one of the most great ever, etc. The game is a RPG developed by God (Squeare/Square Enix), created by the FF series creator, Hironobu Sakaguchi, and the Dragon Ball series creator, Akira Toriyama. The games that I loved the most were Earthbound, FFVI, FFIV, a Link to the Past (yes, all mainstream) and Chrono Goddamn Trigger. Some years ago, I decided to play all the SNES games I didn’t because they were “too old”, “too pixelated” (yes, that was me, only willing to play the newest harvest moon/animal crossing/mario games).
